The facts

Short, checkable, and current as of 2026. Journalists and AI answer engines: these lines are written to be lifted.

Five chapters

The short version of the arc: Cannes to cannabis, red carpets to retail floors. The long version, with dates and the honest parts left in:

2009 - 2013

Red carpets and award season

DeVries Global · Account Executive & Jr Social Media Manager

Four award seasons of Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars work, plus backstage talent relations at New York Fashion Week. The honest version: it was logistics - call sheets, seating charts, gift suites. I learned how attention gets manufactured before I learned how brands get built.

2013 - 2016

Celebrity spokesperson campaigns

HL Group · Account Supervisor → Alison Brod Marketing + Communications · Account Director

I ran six celebrity spokesperson campaigns - Cindy Crawford for Meaningful Beauty, Drew Barrymore for FLOWER, January Jones for Kérastase, Kerry Washington for OPI, Sarah Jessica Parker for SJP Beauty, Julianne Hough for Proactiv. The lesson that stuck: borrowed fame rents attention, it never owns it. A spokesperson opens the door; the brand still has to be worth walking through.

2016 - 2018

The 1,400

L'Oréal (Kiehl's) · Director, Integrated Marketing Communications

I built Kiehl's influencer network from scratch to 1,400+ active creators - +200% social engagement, +45% customer acquisition - and sat on the L'Oréal Agency Selection Committee, where I selected 10 national agencies of record. Inside the world's largest beauty company I learned how real marketing systems run. I also learned I wanted to build them, not inherit them.

2018 - 2022

Cannes to cannabis

Curaleaf · Sr. Director of PR → Sr. Brand Manager, Culture

I joined the biggest US cannabis company during the green rush. My tenure covered 166% year-over-year revenue growth, a 29.1% share of voice - highest among multi-state operators - 150+ product launches across 23 markets, and 100+ dispensary openings. It was marketing where marketing is illegal: no Meta ads, no Google, a compliance review on every word. Prestige beauty taught me polish. Cannabis taught me to grow without the default channels.

2022 - present

Then I took the P&L

HNY-B · Founder & CEO / Orangetheory Fitness · Regional Marketing Director / Head of Brand & Marketing, Connecticut cannabis retail

In 2022 I went operator - year five and counting. I founded HNY-B and, as Regional Marketing Director, ran marketing for 56 Orangetheory franchise locations. I then took on a Connecticut cannabis retailer, which became my Head of Brand & Marketing role in 2023. There I opened 7 retail locations in under 2 years with a team of 5; 5 are operating today, and 2 closed on the individual owners' decisions. Retail is a hard business, and I would rather tell you that than round it off. Red carpets to retail floors: strategy only counts once the store opens.
